PublishersGlobal offers an efficient information marketplace for the publishing industry. The attempt is to level the field a little, reduce waste and help participants make informed decisions.

We offer a range of tools – some free and some paid – for publishing industry professionals to find, publish and deploy industry information and data.

PublishersGlobal was started as a side project in response to the absence of reliable information about the publishing industry. That was 2008. Now, more than 10 years later, PublishersGlobal is recognized as the leading information resource and tool-set for the global publishing industry.

  With over 20,000 registered organizations, over 50,000 registered users, and thousands of new discrete data added or changed every month this project was not just a challenge to design but also to set up automated testing.

  We started on the path of Test Driven Development (TDD) with this project and have made it our default approach to development.

We crafted a solution that seamlessly transferred thousands of pages of legacy content (included text, images, interactive Flash and Java animations/game) over to WordPress, while making sure that decades of link history and Google love was maintained.

The new website is fast — it delivers cached pages to all non-logged-in users, but those cached pages are updated whenever the site is updated. It is easy to update and maintain — logged users have role-based access to the backend. Authors and editors have access to edit history as well as grade-appropriateness scores -- Flesch–Kincaid readability scores are generated for each piece of content.

  This site started as a plain HTML site in 1998. Over the years we have solved many challenges. Some years ago we ported this huge content site over to WordPress. While the move made it much easier for the content team to add and update content, it was a nightmare from the perspective of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), site load times, and the cost of infrastructure. We needed to think out-of-the box to create a proprietary hybrid solution that delivers incredibly fast load-times and is still very cost-effective. This is now our standard go-to-market solution for all WordPress solutions.

RushFinder is a global community for adventure sports enthusiasts to Create, Discuss, Plan, Share and Discover their next adventure. It is also a place where they showcase their past adventures. From a rank beginner to seasoned professional. From not-for-profit organizations to commercial operators. The idea is to share and discover; learn and teach. It's all about adventure. There are four main sections of the site:

Profiles: Every user gets a free profile to share their interests and showcase their adventure sports history. Your profile page also contains your RushMap which displays the locations of all your adventure TripLogs and your home/office location (once you specifically add them).

TripLogs: A section where users can post details about their ongoing or past adventure trips.

Events: Ideas for adventure trips get posted here. These can be fixed departure trips of a commercial operator or they can be an exploratory proposals for a possible future trip. Or anything in between. You can generate a TripMap by adding the exact locations.

Discussions: This section creates opportunities for adventurers to ask, learn, share and educate each other.

  Building a user-generated directory with an embedded moderated social media site is a fairly involved technical challenge.

A fully-automated news aggregation service that uses natural language processing to select and tag news items. The system auto generates tags and categories depending on how the news breaks.
